The New SAT I
Some information about the new SAT I: The new math section covers a broader range of math including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and Trigonometry. The exam has moved away from a basic reasoning test and now tests general knowledge of mathematics. The bad news: you won't be able to reason your way through many of the problems. The good news: if you have a solid math foundation, the problems will be easier to solve. The verbal section now includes a broader reading comprehension assessment and a writing section. Bad news: many students struggle on these two sections. The good news: these sections are very coachable. With training and practice students have raised their scores by 300 points on the critical reading and writing sections alone!
